Director of Sales – East Region

Irvington, New York (approximately 50% travel)

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative and experienced Director of Sales to build out and lead the East Coast market. 

You Will: 

  • Manage sales strategy for penetrating and closing new opportunities   
  • Develop, initiate and execute sales plan for target accounts in the region (and, in some cases, national account) 
  • Develop and execute fact-based selling strategy 
  • Provide weekly opportunity status updates and accurate forecast 
  • Consistently exceed annual revenue targets  

Your Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience in a sales role with a focus on building strategic customer relationships and new customer acquisition 
  • Food experience required, branded food sales 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Consistently exceed annual revenue targets  
  • Outstanding track record of success managing both regional and national accounts with consistent over-attainment of annual revenue goals  
  • Strong personal network of established relationships with key decision makers at multiple retailers and markets  
  • Experience in building retailer focused strategies and support tactics to deliver sales goals  
  • Experience in coordinating and managing all activities at the customer including sales and retail execution  
  • Ability to strategically sell up to senior levels within the customer 
  • Extremely organized, an effective oral & written communicator  
  • Self-Starter, works well autonomously 
  • Ability work effectively with a distributed team  
  • Strong collaborator across all business functions 
  • Category management and database management experience a plus  
  • Track record of success in early stage company growing a territory and exceeding sales goals  

Location/Travel: 

  • This position is based in the Irvington, New York office or near major retailers in Maryland or Pennsylvania with approximately 50% travel.
